What a sad commentary it is on Palestinian statecraft that the Islamic Jihad means of resolving conflict is the murder of Israelis in a suicide bombing in Eilat. I am no fan of the Saudis, or the Syrians, or the Egyptians, but all of them have at least kept their hatred of Israel and the Jews out of their efforts to resolve the nascent Palestinian civil strife. Islamic Jihad and their confederates in the Fatah linked Al Aksa Martyrs Brigade have been trying for months to get a suicide bomber into an Israeli city (over 100 times this year, accordinig to the IDF), so their rationale of "stop fighting each other and concentrate on the real enemy" rings hollow. The response to this atrocity, though it will not be nearly enough, will not make life easier for the perpetrators, or for most Gazans. So the question must be asked - Qui Bono? Who Benefits?
Iran and her proxies seem the likeliest.
